County Engineer Gary Whipple added an additional $170,000.00 for design and construction cost projections.
The total projected amount is $5,752,270.00.

Some key notes from the study are:
Square Footage of Facility: 11,659
52 parking spaces
Project timeline of 18 months.

"The ALS of St. Mary’s County has requested funding from the CSMC for a building to house their operations. On January 7, 2020 the CSMC authorized funding to acquire a consultant to conduct a feasibility study on the construction of an Emergency Services Building that would authorize space for ALS and peripheral functions of the Department of Emergency Services.

The Architectural Group provided by the consultant found the Advance Life Support Unit of St. Mary’s County currently house their operations in undersized space that is a part of a single-story office building on the campus and owned by Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital. The hospital has expressed their desire to reclaim this space but have not yet provided ALS with a deadline for vacating the building. This appears to be clear indication of need for a new location for ALS to base their operations."
